SUMMARY:Domenico Ghirlandaio: a Forgotten Master
DESCRIPTION:Domenico Ghirlandaio (1449-1496) was one of the most successful artists of the fifteenth century. His studio produced works from devotional images to prestigious fresco cycles in Florence. He worked in the Sistine Chapel in 1480’s but is largely appreciated today. Vasari claimed that he deserved to be celebrated with extraordinary praise after his death.\nDr James Lindlow was the first Renaissance Ph.D from the Royal College of Art and the Victoria and Albert Museum. He has lectured widely in the United Kingdom and overseas and is currently a fine art underwriter in the City. He has published Renaissance Palaces in Florence.\n
