DESCRIPTION:St Mary’s Collegeat New Oscott is one of the earliest post-Reformation Roman Catholic Seminaries in England. The original college was founded in 1794 and in 1838 it moved to its current site. The renowned and pioneering neo-Gothic architect A W N Pugin was at the start of his career and he was involved in the design and the college’s chapel is a fascinating example of his highly decorative work.\nWe will have a guided tour of the college and learn about its history, visiting its main public rooms including the chapel and a museum full of artefacts telling the story of the early years of Catholic Emancipation.\nWe weed to make our own way to the College. It is located on Chester Road, Sutton Coldfield B73 5AA\n
