Welcome to our website

The arts are an essential part of our lives, lifting us out of the daily round into a world of creativity, history and culture.
It’s a very difficult time for us at the moment, with our normal activities, especially our popular monthly lectures and the opportunity to chat to other likeminded people, being severely curtailed due to Covid 19. However, for the time being we have overcome this by enabling lectures to be brought directly into the homes of members online. The Arts Society provides access to a wide range of top quality lecturers, all expert in their fields of knowledge. Under normal circumstances there are numerous activities, in addition to monthly lectures, where we can get to know one another.
I hope you find our website informative, and if you are not already a member, may consider joining us. You will be most welcome. Do get in touch through the contact page. The small cost of our annual Society membership has got to be the best value around, and don’t forget you can also bring your friends along at an additional cost of £7 per person. We hope to see you soon.
